Job Scope: 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure utilizing knowledge in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security. You will build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are safe against security threats. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions while providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. 

  • Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes.

DevOps Practices:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with test automation and engineering teams to streamline development and deployment practices.
  • Ensure security compliance particularly in the CI/CD and deployment process.
  • Use CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD to streamline software delivery.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Configure and optimize servers, databases, and networking components.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Security:

  • Ensure the security of applications and backend services.
  • Implement appropriate security measures to protect data and prevent unauthorized access.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent. 
  • Must have more than 10 years of DevOps experience in the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
  • Excellent understanding and advanced proficiency of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with basic backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).
  • Advanced proficiency in continuous improvement techniques, configuration & release management, and cloud automation DevOps is recommended.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
